Last rites today for ex-Orleanian
Funeral services for Mrs Marie Augusta STORY de LESSEPS, 82 years old, former New Orleanian, who died Saturday in San Diego, Cal., will be held at 8:30 a.m. today at the Union Station with religious rites at 9 a.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception on Baronne street, Interment will be in Girod Cemetery.
A native of this city, Mrs. de LESSEPS was the daugther of the late Henry Clement STORY, St. Bernard parish sugar planter, ans Amelia de LESSEPS STORY, and was the widow of Auguste de LESSEPS, widely known sugar planter of St. Landry parish. Her education was received at the Cenas Institute.
Survivors ar one son, Hamilton de LESSEPS, Baton Rouge, five daugthers, Mesdames Whitney TRIMBLE, Oakland, Cal., Wills J. CARTER, Marlingen, Texas, and Edward R. BROWNE, and the Misses Marguerite and Ruth de LESSEPS, all of San Diego; six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews here, in Shreveport and in France.

De LESSEPS - At San Diego, Cal., on Saturday May 28, 1938, at 9:30 o'clock p.m. Marie Augusta STORY in her 82nd year, widow of Auguste de LESSEPS Jr., mother of Hamilton, Marguerite and Ruth de LESSEPS, Mrs Jeanne de LESSEPS TRIMBLE of Oakland, Cal., Mrs Willis J. CARTER of Marlingen, Texas, and Mrs Edward BROWN of San Diego, Cal., sister of Miss Grace STORY, also survived by six grandchildren, a native of this city.
Remains will not arrive before Thursday morning. Due notice of funeral will be given.
