Hi,
The main changes since last September are:
- Corrections related to
PICARD, DARD, BERNIER &FLEURY families following the Rochefort & Noumea family event last June to celebrate the bicentenial departure of the Méduse ship, - quite a few updates, corrections thanks to 2 awesome releases, unfortunately, we can neither buy nor view them from Internet. A local contact in New Caledonia is required to access them (and both are in French)
Réussites et Revers de fortunes de Pionniers - Les Henry, une famille de colons du Nord calédonien , published by the cercle du musée de la ville de Nouméa, withRonald and Colette MARTIN as main contributors. This booklet is beautiful! It is full of pictures and details related to the pioneers, theHENRY family especially.Canala - De Napoléonville à La grande Guerre - Familles pionnières de Nouvelle-Calédonie 1859-1914 , published by the association Négropo Mémoires et Racines, fromJerry DELATHIERE, Serge and Rosemonde JAROSSAY . This beautiful and very interesting (big) book focus on Canala and its surroundings and all the communities leaving there between the first European until WWI
- Some of you have informed me of some changes, additions or corrections.
All comments are, of course, welcome, especially:
- merging the 2 GEDCOM files in 2007 was very painful and generated heaps of errors.
I've corrected as many as I could.
If you detect some errors or inconsistencies, or for any update, please, contact me! - if you don't like a picture, or consider you have a better one or that gives a better idea of that person, feel free to contact me.
- if you would like to speed up the site illustration, please do not hesitate to directly provide scanned pictures!
